Updating from text editor (shortcodes) to Cornerstone

Hello — I have an older site that was created using the text editor and shortcodes in X before Cornerstone and I would like to begin to update the pages.

I assume I will have to reconstruct each page, if that assumption is incorrect, please let me know!

I am creating a new page using Cornerstone and would like to use the same styling, however I am not sure how to reconstruct the following in Cornerstone:

[content_band style=“color: #fff;” bg_image=“image” parallax=“true” border=“all” inner_container=“true”][x_gap size=“100px”][/content_band]

I am using a Classic Custom Headline followed by a parallax image directly below the title, like on this page: https://www.watsoncaringscience.org/about-wcsi/

I just don’t know how to replicate the image in Cornerstone.

Would appreciate your help, thank you!

Hello @ccwadsworth,

Thanks for writing in!

Yes, you will have to recreate the pages in Cornerstone.

You can copy the shortcode in Cornerstone Text or Raw Content element. Here’s a screencast that you can take a look.

Thanks.

Thank you for your prompt response. So, are you saying there are no Elements that exist for this feature?

Hi @ccwadsworth,

Yes. The content band is available as shortcode only.

Regards!
