I am trying to update to the latest X Theme 7.2.3 from my theme that is 3.2.5.
When I update to the latest version, the page is broken.
I have read documents and solutions from the Forum… I have tried testing for plug-in conflicts and clearing the cache.
Is there a step-by-step process that will ensure the website will stay as is while everything is being updated?
There must be a way to update the theme from version 3.2.5 while ensuring that everything will work properly.
Please help me fix this.

Thanks for writing in! We would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:
By the way, when updating X theme 3.2.5 to 7.2.3, please do not also forget to update Cornerstone plugin to version 4.2.3. And if you are still using the old X Shortcode plugin, you can simply deactivate and delete that plugin because it has been deprecated long ago.
