Updating from 8.2.3. to 9.1.4. X THEME

Hi,

How can I ensure I will not get any issues updating from 8.2.3 to 9.1.4?

Shall I do via FTP overwrite or is it okay to do via WP Dashboard?

Cornerstone also will need updating, shall I update before or after?

Thanks for writing to us.

I would suggest you, please deactivate the Cornerstone page builder plugin then update the X theme after updating the X theme you need to update the Cornerstone plugin. If you have not seen our theme update doc please have a look at it

Please note you must take a backup of the file and database of your site before updating the theme or plugins, and WordPress core. After updating you need to clear all the cache so that the latest code renders properly.

It would be best if you could copy your live website to your staging area. and then update the theme.
