Updating cornerstone before x

Hi,
Is it ok to upgrade cornertsone before updating the X theme or is it recommended to upgrade the theme first in the upgrade sequence?

Thanks for writing in.

X does not work well with not compatible Cornerstone or the other way around. The best way to do it before updating is to test the update on a dev site then replicate the dev site to your live site or you could back up your site before updating to prevent any big complication.
