I checked the live website. The fact that it was also not working on Pro 1.1.1 showed this should be something related to your installation. After I double checked it was indeed because of a 3rd party plugin. I am not sure how you tested the case but the correct way to test is to disable all 3rd party plugins and see the result.

I did that and the footer showed ok in the preview section of the Footer Builder. Then I enabled 3rd party plugins one by one to find out the problem is caused by this plugin:

hi, thanks Christopher for your assisting,
now i backdate to the previous backup file to date 21.11.2017, during this back up yet NEVER do X-Pro theme update, still with the version 1.1.1

backdate test site is http://giore.com
but the footer admin editing have no issue.

and the testimonial plugin already existed, other plugins are almost the same like live site http://medispenang.com

Thanks for getting the 1.1.1 backup restored. I see the problem doesn’t occur with that version. I investigated further and found some HTML syntax errors on the site.

By inspecting each text element in your footer and switching to the rich text mode of the editor, then back again, the syntax errors were corrected. I then saved the footer. Once the errors were fixed I updated the site to 1.2.7. It’s still working now with Pro being updated. I can confirm that recent versions are more sensitive to syntax errors. In the future we hope to make it more clear, and provide messaging to let you know where any potential errors lie.
