Updated to Pro - Nav Dropdowns are not working

Hi there! I found a few posts where you told people to turn off “content scrolling” to get their dropdowns working, but I’m not using a custom header - it’s just the plain old Wordpress Menu.

If you go to http://staging.precisionpointinc.com/, you’ll see I have several navigation items that are supposed to drop open. And they work on the live site: https://precisionpointinc.com/

Basically, I copied the live site over onto staging this morning, then I upgrade to Pro, made sure all the plugins and theme are current, etc. So the two sites were identical prior to these updates. So the staging nav not working has something to do with moving to Pro, but I can’t figure it out.

Again, this site is using just the normal WP menus - no custom header. How do I get my dropdowns to come back? Thank you!

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for writing in! Upon testing your site, I see the following errors on the console log.

TypeError: $(...).newsTicker is not a function
TypeError: t.parallaxContentBand is not a function

Could you please try removing any custom JavaScript codes that you have added to your site and re-test your site again.

If you’re still having issues, you need to disable your 3rd party plugins and see if you’re encountering any plugin conflict. If the issue resolved, you can then re-activate your plugins one by one to see which which plugin conflicts.

Also if you’re using a caching plugin, you need to purge your server cache and also disable CSS/JavaScript minifications before testing.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for the info. I deactivated all my plugins, and “Black Studio TinyMCE Widget” was the culprit. Which is a stinker because I find it so useful. But for now, I’ve disabled it and my navigation is working again. thanks again!

Glad to hear it’s working now.
