Updated Pro ... sections/images no longer support SVG as image type?

As my title says.

I’ve just updated Pro to the version with the newer section/column/row setup.

But I can’t replicate my previous build as SVGs are not supported as an image file type for the background.

Edit… it would seem SVG’s don’t work at all… even if I create an image and select one from my media library that is currently visible and active on the site?..

Should I revert back to a version from earlier in the year?..

Hey @draper3000,

I experienced this in my test site but please bear in mind that SVG is really not supported by WordPress for security reasons and we follow that.

What made SVGs work again in my test site was the Safe SVG plugin. Try installing it.

I’ll post this in our issue tracker so it will be queued for investigation by our developers. They will be the one to decide if they will integrate something to enable the use of SVGs.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll look into using that plugin., as the file size savings and scalability is very handy

A little strange that it worked fine on the last stable release.

Hi @draper3000,

it might be a Wordpress update since by default it’s the Wordpress that restricts the SVG file.
