Hi I’ve just updated various x plugins that said they needed updating and once again updating has broken various bits of my site. This time the menu bar is no longer black and various fonts/font styles have been lost
The site is at: http://freakout.club/
Hello @adam,
Thanks for asking.
On my end your website is loading fine and there is no styling issues. Can you please confirm? May be you can clear browser cache and try loading again?

Thanks.
Hi thanks, the page loads but the styling is wrong in places. The fonts have changed (various quite funky google fonts should be showing instead of the plain arial like font), plus the menu bar used to be black background
Hi There,
Did you also update the X Theme? From what version that is come from? If it is from an out dated version (v3 or v4) then yup some of the customizer settings had reset so you need to re-configure it back. Else have no idea what is causing your customizer to reset, because plugin updates has nothing to do with that.
Your X Theme is still one update behind (v5.1.0), please update that to latest (v5.1.1).
Would you mind providing us some information on what did you do before or after the plugin update? Like did you switch to a default theme or something?
Thank you.
How weird, OK I’ve updated X too, don’t think that update was showing when I did the plugins but could be wrong. The problem of lost styles remains though, seems to be a reoccurring issue with X updates?
Hi There,
This is not something that should happen and also not a known issue.
How are you making your changes? Are using the customizer?

Thanks!
Hi there,
This might be caused by having a very old Child Theme which is not supported anymore. I suggest that you download the latest version of the Child Theme from your dashboard of the Themeco website and move your customization to that theme.
As this thread is old and was meant to resolve another issue, I suggest that you open up a new thread for this specific one if you need further assistance.
Thank you for your understanding.
Oh terrific, so after several issues with your updates occasionally breaking things I’ve already had to waste my time attending to in the past I’m now told my 3 year old web site is a “very old” theme and not supported by you anymore (even though your update has broken it) and I have to spend my time re-creating it just to make it look the same again? Your attitude to backwards compatibility sucks guys, very very poor. When I design a site I don’t expect to have to re-learn your theme and waste my time re-creating it again 3 years later because your guys can’t be bothered to ensure your updates support live sites
You do not have my understanding, you have a very pissed off customer
Hi again,
We’re sorry that you’re having trouble. You only need to delete the old child theme (but before deleting make sure to copy your edits and take a backup) and install the latest version of it and copy your edits in there.
Thank you for understanding!
