Update Wordpress from Dashboard not showing

On one of the sites that I’m working on I can’t update wordpress from inside the dashboard.

Its says please contact site admin instead of update here. I’m concerned this is why the site is so slow to load.

Any ideas? thank you in advance.

I could not find any related problem in our community. There could be a restriction on your hosting provider in regards to wordpress updates. Please try to contact your hosting regarding this issue.
