Update whole site to new font

Hi there, I’ve updated the fonts for my site in Font Manager, but this is not updating the fonts throughout my site… I would like to setup the heading & body fonts to a specific font and then update the entire website.

I haven’t been able to find this elsewhere, please advise.

Hi there,

Please try to disable the font manager in X > Theme Options > Typography then save it and enable it again.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the response. That has worked to make some of the content the correct fonts, thank you.
It hasn’t changed the fonts in the post headers and body though, please could you tell me how to do this?
Also, if I create the post in WP then edit in cornerstone the content all disappears…

Many thanks again

Hi there,

Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

In case the issue persists, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Thank you.

I have tried deactivating plugins, that didn’t work. I cleared the cache.

The homepage currently shows up with the heading and body fonts I have chosen, that is with fonts I chose through the Template section of Cornerstone and with “enable font manager” set to off. The posts still do not show up in the chosen fonts whether font manager is off or on.

I don’t understand this…

Hi,

Upon checking, I can see in your post you are adding an inline css that is preventing your global font settings from working.

Kindly remove those in your posts.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. Are they appearing due to copying and pasting the text from Word?

I’ve removed them from my latest post: http://quirkyrambler.com/buxton-best-weekend-peak-district/. If I choose a font from “system fonts” and have font manager set to “off”, AND set the same fonts in the template font, they are working.

I’m still confused about where the css came from, and about the ins and outs of font usage in X theme, it seems over-complicated. Is there a simple explanation for this somewhere? I couldn’t find one.

Thanks again

Copying from Word might be the cause of the problem because it will add extra markup. When copying and pasting from Word, please follow this guide, or this one.

Thanks.

That’s great, I’ll have a look. Many thanks.

You’re most welcome!
