Update Pro to use BuddyBoss and not BuddyPress

Hello,

I’d like to use the Pro theme with BuddyBoss however when I install BB I see a warning:
" You are using an old theme and/or BuddyPress addon that relies on the older BuddyPress Legacy templates, and some things may not work properly. Consider switching to our BuddyBoss Theme and/or removing the BuddyPress addon that is using old methods."

How can I update Pro to use the Nouveau templates?
or how can I get Pro to work with BuddyBoss properly?

The theme seems to think BuddyBoss is BuddyPress and shows the buddypress addon as active in the Validation screen.

Can you please share your website login credentials so we can check the error you are having and investigate it further? Please provide login credentials, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

Hi @NinjaTeX,

What you are talking about is a statutory warning from the said plugin to notify that you are not using their own theme or using some of the older/ deprecated methods.

If you are not getting any issues related to it, you can ignore it too. If you still want it to be removed, I would suggest you contact the plugin author on this.

Hi again, can you please verify what template pack Pro uses for BuddyPress? is the Nouveau templates or the Legacy templates? and where are those files located? more info here https://www.buddyboss.com/resources/dev-docs/web-development/theme-compatibility/

Hello @NinjaTeX,

Please be advised that the BuddyBoss plugin is not supported in the theme.

For BuddyPress, you should be able to go to Settings > BuddyPress > Options > Template Pack where you can select the “Nouveau templates” which is by the way the default setting in the theme.

We can add BuddyBoos Integration to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.
