Update issues - switching back to older version still causes issues

Hi there,

We have updated the Pro theme to the newest version which has caused significant issues with our website, which prompted us to switch back to the previous version which solved some issues, but has in turn given us this message:

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with your theme, Pro.

WordPress version 5.8
Current theme: Pro (version 4.3.3)
Current plugin: (version )

What can we do to solve this?

Hi @INcroatia,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website but didn’t find the issue mentioned in the thread. Can you please explain the steps to replicate the issue at your end? Please note that a few hours ago we have released another version of the theme with some fixes.
I would recommend you please copy your live site to a staging server and update your theme to the latest one and check if that resolves your issues with the updated theme. If that resolves, please migrate your staging server to the live server.

If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your staging site in a secure note to examine it further.

Thanks

We have reverted back to the 4.3.3. version of Pro, that’s why there are no issues. We’ll be waiting for a more stable version to come out before we update the theme again.

Hi @INcroatia,

The issue you’ve mentioned above sounds like Pro might not have been fully updated. That class is included in this file: framework/classes/Theme.php

We’ll be pushing another point release later today. When Pro 5.0.6 is showing, I would recommend updating via automatic updates. The WordPress update system should ensure all the files are in the correct places.
