Unwanted character in <head> <title>

Hi there,

I can’t seem to figure out why in the “head” “title” tag there is a “|” character after the title. It outputs onto the browser tab after the name I have typed in for the site. For example, if I have named the site “XYZ website” under General / Settings, it will show up in the browser tab as “XYZ website |”.

How can I remove this unwanted character?

Hi Chris,

Please try to install Yoast SEO and you should be able to set the page title manually for the index page.
