Hello All,
Here is an odd one. Upon updating to WP 5.4.1 Under Construction Plugin stopped working. Nothing else changed. The plugin is on but is being bypassed.
Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you!

Hi Michael,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I just tested the Under Construction Plugin with WP 5.4.1 and it works fine on my end. You probably need to update the extension to the latest version. Please ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/docs/product-updates for more details.
If the issue persists then please check for the following:
If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Deactivate your child theme if using and switch to parent theme
If nothing works then please get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.
Thanks!
Yeh, this things just “magically” began working again. No cluse but i will put blame on the host. LOL
Hi Michael,
Glad things sorted out on your end now, it could be a caching related too. Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Cheers!
