Under Construction plugin issues

HI all,

Under Construction not working for me. Running the latest and greatest version of Pro, WP 6.0.3, php8. No funky plugins are installed.

Could you take a look under the hood and let me know what’s up? Site login creds in Secure Note.

I have checked your website in Incognito mode and found the Coming Soon page is showing. Can you please confirm if you are still facing the issue, if yes, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem?

I think it’s a browser caching issue.

Unless I take the time to clear browser cache, I bypass the Under Construction blocker and arrive at the homepage.

I’m not using any caching plugin, either within WP or via my hosting provider, so I’m at a loss as to how to ensure the Under Construction screen always appears when logged out of the WP back end.

Yes, browsers will always cache the page and that is so that it will load the pages every time you open the site. You can force the browser to get the latest page resources only by using the private browsing mode or by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + R to force reload the page.

After around 2 days I get the blocker page back. I’m guessing the plugin uses a cookie?

What I think I’m looking for is the plugin to use a session cookie, rather than a standard cookie, so that visitors get logged out the instant they close the browser window.

Since I’m guessing I can’t set the duration of the cookie, it looks like I’ll have to find an alternative plugin.
