Under Construction does not point to custom page

Hi,

I am rebuilding my site at www.jothorne.co.uk, and I’ve created a dedicated “above masthead” slider with a video background to use as an under construction page.

The new slider has the words “under construction” overlaid under the logo. However, when I point the Under Construction add-on to the new page, it does not show the new slider above the masthead. Instead, it shows the old slider without the “under construction” text under the logo.

I have disabled all cacheing, and I have cleared my browser cache, but the problem persists. Could you please take a look? You will need to log in to see the problem.

The custom under construction page is /under-construction

Update to this problem:

By changing the video background on the homepage, I was able to get the right slider to show on the Under Construction page.

But surely this can’t be right? Why is it not possible to use a dedicated slider on my custom Under Construction page?

Hello Michael,

Regretfully the given credentials has only a very limited privileges. Please make it at least an administrator so that we can go to the admin panel and check your settings.

Meanwhile, please be advised that the slider masthead settings will only be applied to the page it is assigned to.

Best Regards.

@RueNel apologies, I have now given you admin access, please use the same credentials to log in.

The problem is that only the masthead settings that are applied to the homepage will show up on the Under Construction page - in other words, no matter what settings I apply to the custom Under Construction page I have created, what shows up once logged out of the site is the above masthead settings for the homepage.

Could you investigate this for me further by logging into the site?

Hello Michael,

On a normal page, the slider masthead settings will check the assigned slider and the page ID. When using custom under construction page, the homepage will get redirected to the construction page. Further investigation confirms that this might be a bug in the recent release of theme. I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

Thank you for your understanding.

@RueNel thanks, I guessed it might be a bug.

No problem.
