Under Construction: Add links

Hello,

I like the simple setup of the under-construction-plugin. But I need to add two links to the imprint and the data protection policy due to european laws. The easiest way would be to add the links in the extra-text field, but unfortunately it doesn’t allow HTML.

Is there any other way to provide links on the generated “under construction” page?

Hey Uli,

Regretfully, there is no way to add links or any other element to the default under construction page. You will need to replicate the design by creating a page in Cornerstone / Content Builder and then assign it as the Custom Under Construction Page.

If you wish to edit the output file directly which is not recommended and we do not support, go to your plugins folder and the proceed to this directory and file tco-under-construction/views/site/under-construction.php

Can you add a feature request? In Europe every page - also an “under construction” page - needs links to imprint an data policy. So it would be great I you could make this plugin “europe-compatible”

If I do replicate the design as suggested, how can I add the count-down?

Hi Uli,

I will add it as a feature request, so that our developers can review it.

The countdown is not applicable for custom under construction page. But with many plugins available there, you can have a different countdown in your custom under construction page.

This is an example, https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-countdown/#description. It’s said in the description that you can add it in a page or post.

You can also edit the under construction template files, but that requires manual coding and customization which may take longer.
