Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'closest' of undefined - Links

Hello,

All of our internal anchor links for example

<a href="#intro-menu">Move to top</a>

are not working after upgrading to the latest version of x theme. We are getting error:

x.js?ver=7.2.3:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'closest' of undefined
    at Object.<anonymous> (x.js?ver=7.2.3:1)
    at cs.0ce70e6.js:1
    at Array.forEach (<anonymous>)
    at Object.apply (cs.0ce70e6.js:1)
    at before (cs.0ce70e6.js:145)
    at HTMLBodyElement.<anonymous> (cs.0ce70e6.js:145)

This only happens in Chromium browsers such as Chrome and Opera.

Thank you
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for reaching out.

There is no such error found in the example link, even the Move To Top link also works perfectly.
If you still find the issue, please troubleshoot a few common issues:

  1. Child Theme.
  2. CSS/JS customization
  3. Disabling Cache

If none of this helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note, including:

– WordPress Site URL
– WordPress Admin username / password

Thanks

Hi, we are not allowed to give credentials for security reasons but the problem hasn’t resolved after following these guidelines. Is there anything else we need to think about?

Ok we found the offending plugin: CDN Enabler by KeyCDN - not sure why this conflicts with the X theme - you might want to investigate further… thank you !

Hi Andrew,

Great that you are able to find the exact reason of the issue. We are really dont offer any investigation on 3rd party plugins or related issue.
I would suggest you to contact the plugin author for the further support.

Thanks
