Unable to use Cornerstone to translate pages (WPML)

Hi there,

we just installed and activated WPML plugin for one of our pages. After duplicating a German page and clicking the button to ‘translate independently’ we want to use Cornerstone to translate it into English, that works so far.

When we duplicate a German page and after clicking the button ‘translate independently’ we want to change the URL (permalink) and then we want to use Cornerstone to translate. In that case we get the error ‘A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading.’. When we change the URL back to the German version we are able to use Cornerstone again.

So the reason for that error seems to be the change of the permalink. How do we solve this problem because there is no way not to change the URL?

I just tried that on my end and there is no issue, perhaps it’s cache and bound to the URL. I like to check it too, would you mind providing the site’s URL that has this issue and admin login credentials in a secure note?

Would you mind telling me how exactly you cleaned the transient?

Is that via WPML > Support > troubleshooting? What exactly did you do?

Hi there,

I installed transient cleaner plugin, then remove all transients (cache). It’s under Admin > Tools.
