I recently took over a Wordpress website that I did not build and I’m having a few issues. It currently has Wordpress version 5.8.1.
It was originally built in 2015 with X theme and Cornerstone. First issue I noticed is that I am not able to continuously save my changes made in Cornerstone. I make one change, hit save and then the save button becomes disabled. So to make any changes and save, I have to make the change, hit save, refresh the page to enable the save button again and proceed. It’s very annoying and time consuming.
As I was trying to figure out how to fix this issue, I noticed the plugins and theme were outdated but for some reason I am not able to update the X theme version or any of the plugins. It says the website has auto-updates enabled but it still has X theme version 4.0.6 and Cornerstone 1.0 installed with no update available. All of the other plugins seem to be outdated as well with no updates available. I tried turning off “Auto Updates Enabled” but the website won’t register that change either.
I thought about replacing the theme with my X Theme Pro license to see if that fixes anything but this site is live and I don’t want to screw anything up for my client.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
