Unable to update the latest X update due to the problems with Wordpress 6.2 issue

Unfortunately, I didn’t see the warning about Wordpress 6.2. I tried to update WP 3 days ago and it crashed my site. I’ve been dealing with the Hosting company, and finally got my website back up, but I am unable to get into Cornerstone to edit my site. I get a 404 page not found error. When I try to update X, I get a Fatal error for low memory.

My site is: ambiencejazz.com

I’ll add my credentials on the secure message.
Thanks in advance.
George

Hi @gbstone,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found that the X theme is not installed. When I tried to upload the latest version, it shows a 403 error and aborted the operation. I would suggest you upload the X by downloading it from your Themeco Account and following the below steps.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone.
  2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates or downloading from your Themeco Account.
  3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be on the latest version

Hope it helps.
Thanks

I’m a little confused. My wordpress dashboard shows that X 10.2.1 is installed and my website seems to be operating fine, however I can’t get into cornerstone to edit. When I look at the Themeco dashboard to download X from my license it shows “LATEST Download 6.2.2”

I just followed the steps above… deleted Cornerstone, updated X within WordPress and then updated Cornerstone.

I now am showing I have X 10.2.2 and Cornerstone 7.2.2, however, I am still unable to get into Cornerstone to edit my site. I get a 404 page not found error. Can you take a look. Thank you.

Hi @gbstone,

The problem is with the Permalink settings, I have reset it to the %postname% and now the Cornerstone is working as expected.

Thanks

Great! Thank you. I am able to get in to Cornerstone now.

There is, however, another issue that appears now after the update. My menu is no longer fixed at the top and it disappears after clicking any menu items. I checked the Header Navbar settings, and it still shows “Fixed Top” but it’s not functioning correctly. Can you take a look?

Thanks

Hi George,

Thanks for reaching out.
I checked it in my local environment and was able to replicate the issue. I suspect this might be a bug in the recent version of Theme. I will report this to the Issue Tracker for further investigation by our development team.

Thanks

Thank you! What’s the best way for me to follow-up and do you have an idea of how long this should take to resolve.

Thanks again!

The fixed top issue will be fixed in the next release most likely Monday. Issue with our import changes with x. Have a great day!

Thank you! That helps to know. Have a great day!

Hey @gbstone,

You’re most welcome!

Hi, I think this bug (Fixed Top / menu disappearing when scrolling down) also applies to the Pro theme (ver. 6.2.2), because I have the same problem with a webpage with Pro installed.

Hey @keliassen,

Thanks for chiming in. @Charlie will be rolling out the next update release soon.

Cheers.

Installed the update this morning. It resolved the fixed top issue.
Thank you!

You are most welcome @gbstone
