Unable to open “Theme Options” in WordPress admin for "X" Theme

Hello,

I’m trying to modify the browser tab icon for my deployed site (currently it has the WP “W” logo), and I think to do that I need to hit the THEME OPTIONS in the X theme from WP-ADMIN. I can get into the THEME at the top of the WP-ADMIN menu, but there is no THEME OPTION.

Some posts suggest that this is because of a mismatch between CORNERSTONE and the theme, but CORNERSTONE is using the version provided and bundled with the X THEME.

When I try to modify this outside of the theme, things hang on CROPPING the image or applying it. The image did upload correctly to wp-uploads, and permissions are correct.

Server is Ubuntu new deployment, all completely updated and Wordpress is the latest version with the latest available instance of “X THEME”.

Thanks!

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for reaching out.
It is not very clear what exact problem you are facing. If Theme Options is not opening for you, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. Mostly, this problem can occur due to the improper update of X. I would also suggest you follow the steps below while updating to the latest version of the theme.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone
  2. Use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

If that does not help, I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.CSS/JS Customization
5.Disabling Cache
6.Disabling CDN
7.Increasing PHP Memory Limit
