"Unable to locate global block" (in footer)

Hello.

I’m using X theme and the Lawyer demo.

I see from other people’s questions that once a global block has been deleted, it must then be manually removed from the page in question. Makes perfect sense.

My issue is that the global block in question is in the footer.

I deleted all global blocks in the X Global Blocks section and now get the “unable to locate global block” in the footer. One workaround I discovered was to change the page template to “Header, No Footer”. You then can’t see it.

However, I’d actually quite like a footer so please can you explain how to remove a global block from the footer in the Lawyer Demo?

Hi Alun,

Thank you for writing in, In X, the Lawyer’s Demo footer is manage under the Appearance > Widgets > Footer 1, please remove the Global Block shortcode that is on Footer 1 widget area.

If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.
