Unable to install X theme

I recently purchased and downloaded the X theme but have had some difficulties with installation.

When I upload the zip file the browser redirects to an ‘internal server error’ message. When I return to the theme list page there is a note at the bottom under the heading ‘broken themes’ which says that the stylesheet is missing.

I have deleted, re-downloaded and tried to install the theme again multiple times without any success.

Any advice?

Have you tried uploading via FTP with the credentials from your hosting provider?

Hi There,

Could you please try adding the following code into your wp-config.php file in the root of your WordPress installation.

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

If that doesn’t help, please provide us with your FTP login/website URL/admin credentials to check your current setup.

OK thanks Nico,

I’ve tried uploading the zip file through wordpress.
Redownloading the files and trying again
Uploading the folder directly via FTP – This almost worked but the stylesheet was still clearly missing based on how the page was displaying.

OK thanks. What did you do?

Something might have gone wrong however as I am having issues activating the Cornerstone plugin. Error details below:

Update Failed: 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Same problem with the revolution slider. Is it normal to encounter so many issues with installation?
