Hi there,
im trying to move my website from one URL to another. I downloaded my MYsql file to import it on the new URL. However, now nothing seems to work and when i try to install x theme, the stylesheet seems to be missing. Im doing something very wrong, im just not aware of what it is - could you guys help me.
Right now im on a virgin WP install as the import of the previous data doesnt work either.

We recommend using a WordPress migration plugin like Backup Buddy, All In One Migration, BlogVault… to do a migration from one url to another as doing it manually with a mysql dump is a little more advanced. Did you try one of these plugins before going the manual route?
No unfortunately not. The hosting company told me to it the other way, and now they say moving from one URL to another is not their disk. Nice service tho =/ anyway, i dont mind building my page from the beginning again. I just want stuff to work again

any chance of having my key reset so i can start all over again? that way i kinda know what im doing, the server part of it, is something i have very little experience with.

And assign your new url and assign to your new website.

However, i still get the stylesheet issue while trying to install the theme zip file. msg as listed below:

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
How can i solve it and get started again?

This error, The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet means you’re not using the correct zip file to install X theme. When you download the initial zip file from Envato, make sure to unzip it and get x.zip file to install your theme.
