Unable to edit Woo Commerce Product Pages with Pro

Hi,

I recently installed Woo Commerce for the first time, and realized that I cannot edit the pages with Pro, I am getting the “No suitable preview area found.” error. I checked the previous threads, and found this one:

  • There is probably no 3rd party plug-in conflict, because I deactivated all plugins accept Woo Commerce and the problem persisted.

** Under Theme Options>Woo Commerce, Product and Description tabs are enabled.

*** I cleaned the cache of the browser and I do not use a WP cache plug in.

The wierd thing is, when I crease a product in Woo Commerce, a permalink is created and we can open that link with Pro, however, the page is not under WP Pages. Is this the reason why we cannot edit page with Pro?

For Product Pages, I actually want to use a template from Design Cloud. Another work around would be to integrate Woo Commerce to that template. Is this possible?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Inan,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please be advised that content builder in Pro is a page builder. You can use it to edit posts or pages. When editing a product page using content builder, you can only edit the product description area and not the whole product page layout. The product page layout is utilizing the WooCommerce templating system which layout the structure in displaying the product image on the left, product summary on the right and the rest of the product description at the bottom.

Hope this helps.

Hi @nabeel,

I am surprised. I know that we do not have full control on Woocommerce product pages on Pro, but at the moment I have zero control on the page, including the product description area. Is this normal?

Thank you.

Hello Gunes,

Please go to Pro > Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single Product. Product Tabs must be enabled especially the Description Tab.

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Hi Ruenel,

I have been working for two days to solve this problem but no success. I did what you asked above. In addition to this

  • I installed W3 Total Cache, cleaned the cache and uninstalled the plugin.
  • Performed a plug-in conflict test.
  • Resetted the htaccess file

Here is the memory limits:

  • PHP Memory Limit 512M
  • PHP Max Upload Size 128M
  • PHP Max Post Size 128M

But still, when I open a product page in Pro, I am getting the “No suitable preview area found.” error.

I would greatly appreciate if you can log in to my account and take a look at it.

Thanks a lot

Gunes

Hey Gunes,

Thank you for providing the credentials. I checked your product pages and it looked like those product pages were previously built with Elementor plugin which was conflicting with Pro builder. I disabled the Elementor plugin and I was then able to edit your description area using Pro content builder.

I made changes to demo product, you can test the demo product and now you can edit all of your products in Pro. Hope this helps!

Hi Nabeel,

Thank you for the response.

I installed Elementor because I could not edit the Product page with Pro.

When I create a new page single product page, it doesn’t come with a Description tab. There is only Additional info tab. How did you create the Description tab? Is it a custom tab? It looks we can edit it with Pro.

Thank you so much.

Hi Gunes,

What you add here is the content of description tab:

Edit it with PRO. Add a section. Save it. Try to reload.
See this:

See this test product that I made:

Currently, you have set it to grid here:

Hope this helps.

Lely,
