Unable to edit txt box when using click to edit function

Im having the exact same issue as outlined in this thread

I have updated cornerstone and WordPress to the latest versions, and the recommended changes to the WP-config were set last time I had this issue, and have not changed. What could be causing the performance issue now ?

Hello Peter,

Thanks for writing in!

Are you developing the website locally or on a staging server? I tried checking the URL listed in licence manager and it seems that website is a static website developed HTML and CSS. Can you please confirm?

As you are tested the solution mentioned in the thread, please share the login details in secure note for us to take a closer look at the setup.

Thanks.

No, the site is being developed on a staging server in this directory. http://knowledge-forward.com/testing

Hi Peter,

When investigating this issue further, I see the following errors on the console log (see secure note below).

Could you please try re-installing your WordPress core (https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress) and then also re-install Cornerstone plugin and re-test your issue again. Please disable your other plugins including the caching plugin, while you’re testing this issue.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

So I reinstalled the core files and reinstalled cornerstone, and unfortunately that did not fix the issue. I created another fresh installation, with a fresh database in a new directory, and unpacked preloaded template content to edit. I was still not able to edit any content when clicking on ‘click to edit’. Otherwise installation runs very quickly.

Hi Peter,

It’s due to Wireminds tracking code, please check this

The tracking code is HTML code and it’s embedded to TinyMCE javascript code which breaks it. Did you have implemented some code related to this https://www.facebook.com/WebsiteConsultation/posts/how-to-disable-wiredminds-emetrics-tracking-being-added-to-wordpressthe-wiredmin/1818420068413939/? I’m not really sure how it got there and I can’t recommend any solution.

Try visiting search the word WiredMinds to the file I have provided in the URL and it’s there

It’s not from the theme or any plugins, it’s directly added there. I recommend contacting your hosting provider to see if they have any built-in trackers like that. But based on that facebook URL, it should be your hosting’s tracking feature.

Thanks!
