Our website is built in X. We went to make changes to it and we cannot get into Cornerstone to make changes. the icon just spins in a circle. We need to find out what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for writing in! Upon checking I see that you’re running PHP v5.4.45 on your server. WordPress recommends PHP v5.6.32 or above to avoid any incompatibility issues.
Could you please try switching to a higher version and test your issue again to see if that helps.

We updated to PHP v5.6.32 and it is still not letting us in Cornerstone. Any other ideas?

Can you try increasing your PHP memory limit by adding the following lines into your wp-config.php file which is located inside the root of your WordPress installation.
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
You can add it before the following line:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */
If that doesn’t help, please provide us with your FTP credentials to investigate this issue further.

No. That did not work either. I will put our ftp in the secure note. I left the wp-admin information there already.

We have logged in and we could not locate the correct ftp directory. This location /public_html/compass-marketing is empty.
Meanwhile, your issue could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If the issue still exist, please re install X theme and Cornerstone. There might be some files that were corrupted. You can review our update guide and see the Manual Update section to re install X.
