Unable to edit posts

I’ve been trying to edit posts on X theme. I followed a thread from you guys and indeed in permissions, the post section was un-highlighted. so I activated it. The edit in Cornerstone option was then available. However, it still isn’t possible to edit the post. the side menu is there, with layout, element and inspector. but it doesn’t highlight the section or column when hovering over the content. So not possible to edit. I have deactivated all plugins and still no joy. Please help as this is doing my head in. Thanks Steven

Hi Steven,

Thanks for reaching out.

Regretfully, the content added through the default editor or Gutenberg is not editable in the builder, and vise-versa.
You can add any new elements to it and will show accordingly. Remember that it applies to any existing content only, building from scratch allowed you to add any elements to the post.

Hi, thanks for replying. I’m fairly new to WordPress/ x theme etc. so I’ve been on a steep learning curve. I’m sure I could edit the posts before. It seems I’m wrong but now I can’t find how to create a post in x theme. Am I going mad? thanks

Hello @slingshotibiza

To add a post in WordPress Please follow these steps.

1. Log in to your WordPress Administration
2. Click the Posts tab.
3. Click the Add New sub-tab.

4. Start filling in the blanks: enter your post title in the upper field, and enter your post body content in the main post editing box below it.

5. As needed, select a category, add tags, and make other selections from the sections below the post. (Each of these sections is explained below.)

6. When you are ready, click Publish.
