Unable to Edit Content/Header X Pro After Migration

Hello, I have been using X Pro for quite a while and have run into an issue regarding editing my website. The site appears fine on the front end, but when I go to the editor, I just see the PRO loading icon in perpetuity.

I migrated from Hostgator to Cloudways and changed my DNS from Hostgator to Cloudflare. I followed all the instructions for changing nameservers and updating the IP address so that everything is pointing to the right place. I used the WPVivid plugin to backup on Hostgator, then restored it on Cloudways.

I tried searching the forums for a solution, but none of them seemed to fit or correct the problem.

Did the database not get migrated properly? How can I fix this issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @bretmackey,

Thanks for writing in! This could be just a caching issue. Please clear all your plugin caches and test the site again. It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

  • Testing for Plugin Conflict
  • Theme Update
  • Child Theme
  • CSS/JS Customization
  • Disabling Cache
  • Disabling CDN

We recommend that you temporarily deactivate Autoptimize plugin.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

@ruenel

You are awesome! Thank you for your prompt response and a quick solution. I disabled Automize and increased the PHP limit to 512 and the editor works again. I will test this out more to see if any more issues arise, but this seems to have resolved the issue.

Thank you!
