Hi, I am attempting to create a new template without any border, and no header or footer. I have accomplished that part, but when I add a section, I am left with a grey void/background below it. I want the whole page to be white, and there doesn’t need to be a grey background/section/block below Section 1. In fact, I don’t want any space there at all. How can I eliminate this extra grey space below section 1 (shown in the attached image)?

Thanks for writing in! The gray area is quite normal since there aren’t any contents on the page at all. If you want it to become white as well, please go to Cornerstone > Theme Options > Layout and Design where you can set a White Background Color.
You can also set the minimum height of you column to become 100vh so that it will cover the whole builder area.
