Unable to Drag & Drop Elements in Cornerstone

I downloaded X 5.2.2 and started building with it, but am having a hard time moving elements around in Cornerstone. Basically, I grab an element and drag it to a different column or row and it won’t ‘stick.’ i.e. I release it, but it won’t drop unless I place it back where it was. This happens both in live preview and wireframe modes. To make things even stranger, the element disappears even after dropping it back where it was previously and sometimes it’s there after saving and viewing the page, but other times it’s gone altogether.

I made a quick screencap video to show what is happening: https://www.screencast.com/t/yQQ8efnlMcb

I can confirm all of this on my installation of Pro 1.2.2, having created a fresh page devoted solely to new v2 elements. Specifically:

  • I can’t drag elements to new columns, even in skeleton mode.
  • Elements vanish from the view after I attempt to drag them, but are visible in skeleton mode in their original place.

I can confirm too, regular X (non-pro) with latest updates up to today.

@JCD

Thanks for brining this to our attention. We had a similar issue during the beta where elements would get stuck to the cursor but still fall into place with an extra click. I’ve not seen this problem yet, nor am I able to reproduce it.

Would you mind sharing login credentials in a secure note? I can take a look at what’s going here.

@daniel_roe and @SirRahikkala If you don’t mind, it would help to check additional sites experiencing the problem. If you can open your own topics and add secure notes I can check things out there as well.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the reply, Alexander. I’ve added a secure note with login details.

Thanks @JCD! I was able to track this down and I’ve pushed Pro 1.2.3 and Cornerstone 2.1.3 via auto updates. I’ve updated your site and it’s working now.

@daniel_roe and @SirRahikkala, before opening a new topic for this as advised earlier, try updating to 1.2.3 and see if that helps.

Awesome, just checked it out and it works like a dream - thanks!

Great! Thanks for letting me know.

As expected, the update fixes this problem for me. Thanks @alexander.

Glad to hear that :slight_smile:
