Unable to add new category to menu

Hi,

I just added a new category and a sub-category but they are not showing up as options to add to my menu. What should I do? Thank you

Hey @chevril,

Adding a category in the menu is a WordPress function. Also, neither the theme nor the bundled plugins have a function that could hide a category from showing up in the menu. Try following this guide. Also try clicking View All.

Hi,

I know they are supposed to show up when clicking on "View ALL", but they aren't.  I think this must be some sort of a bug. I just added one of them as a custom link and it worked so I guess I can work around this glitch.

If “View All” does not work for you, there must be a JS error or conflict in your site that may have caused this. Would you mind providing us access to your site so that we can investigate?

To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your WP login url
– WordPress Admin username

  • WordPress Admin password

Thanks for the login credentials.

I could see that it is having a script conflict when navigating your setup.

Please test for plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
