Unable to activate X Theme on my website

Hello,

I am having problems updating the license code for my X Theme.
I enter the code and press ENTER and I get a blank screen.
When I go back to the Dashboard and check the X Theme, the license code is not applied.

Please assist ASAP.

Hi Lesley,

Thank you for writing in, your version of X and Cornerstone is not compatible, the Cornerstone was updated to the latest version but your X theme was left behind (v5.2.5).

The automatic update would not work in this case since, a) you cant validate the theme and b) your X is outdated.

Here’s what we advise, download the latest version of X (v6.5.5) here. Then follow these steps:

• Unzip x.zip on your computer.
• Rename the x folder to x-updating.
• Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
• Drag and drop the x-updating folder into your themes directory.
• Upon completion, rename the previous x folder to x-previous.
• Rename x-updating to x. Your site will now be at the latest version.
• Visit the WordPress dashboard at least once to ensure any migration logic can run (this happens behind the scenes).

The order of the above steps, especially renaming the folder in the correct order is important. This will ensure your site is running a clean copy of the latest version.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Then try to validate the site again.
