Unable to activate with licence key

I am having an issue with the page editor, it says content was edited outside of Cornerstone.

I am trying to update Cornerstone to possibly resolve the issue but the activation will not work.

My licence is unlocked and transferable.

Hello @lmradmin,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your site dashboard, it seems that you are using the X theme and you have a license of Pro theme. I would suggest you install the Pro theme and validate it. Please note you must deactivate the Cornerstone plugin since Cornerstone page builder is inbuilt with the Pro theme.

You can download the Pro theme from your Themeco account dashboard.

Thanks

Does that mean, I need to rebuild all pages again? Currently they are not editable with Cornerstone.

Hello @lmradmin,

You do not need to rebuild the pages again. If you upgrade from the X theme to the Pro theme, all of the X theme options and settings will be inherited by the Pro theme. Those pages created/edited using Cornerstone can be edited in the Pro Content Builder.

By the way, if you want to validate the X theme, you still can. Just make sure that you have assigned the URL to the license correctly to avoid the location issue.

Kindly check out the secure note below.

Thanks.

I changed the URL and tried the original licence key but still unable to validate licence.

Hi @lmradmin,

There are so many factors why the validation will not work on your website but I manage to validate it. Here are the things I have done on your website.

  • I change the X theme version from old X 6.2.4 to the stable version of X 9.1.4.
  • Install the latest version of the theme
  • Install child theme because when I validate the website it has CURL SSL error which we can fix by adding this code in the child theme functions.php add_filter( 'https_ssl_verify', '__return_false' );
  • Validate your website and it is now working properly.

Hope that helps.

The website is no longer working? Loads a blank page

Hey @lmradmin,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience! Your website is now up and running. The issue will not affect your google rankings. On the other hand, I also suggest that your PHP version to 7.4 as WordPress recommended PHP version. If you don’t know how to update your PHP version, please reach out to your hosting provider.

Hope that helps.

Website is now working and also up to date. Wonderful support, even after 6 years you are always here to help. Thank you so much!
