Uh Oh Failed to Save Not Solved

I’m getting this message when trying to edit a page. I’ve read similar posts on this board and have tried and failed to solve this problem. Here’s what I did:

  1. deactivated Yoast Premium
  2. deactivated ALL Plugins
  3. Cleared cache
  4. Switched from Pro Child Theme to Pro

Nothing worked. Please help!

Hello @kcostellomak,

Thanks for writing in!

Please go to Tools > Site Health > Status and make sure that there are no critical issues. Any of the performance issues especially the PHP version must be resolved. And lastly, you may need to increase your PHP Memory limit.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

None if this worked. We had to have our webhost company restore an old version and lost a whole day to this.

Hi @kcostellomak,

Please do the following:

  • Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)

  • Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.

  • Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If you have Yoast SEO plugin, try to deactivate that first. If it is the one causing the issue, make sure that plugin is in the latest version. Current latest version of Yoast SEO is 17.2.1.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
