Hi @fciuciu,
Thank you for writing in, please do the following first.
Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)
Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. While you’re at it, please deactivate this caching feature while we tackle this issue.
Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. Try deactivating Yoast SEO Premium first, because this is a common issue with outdated version of Yoast SEO
Cheers!
Thank you for your reply. It seems that the Yoast Premiuim is causing the problem. It’s already at the latest version. So I don’t know how to fix this issue. I need to have Yoast active on my site
Hello @fciuciu,
It seems that there might be an issue with the " SiteGround Optimizer" plugin cache, I went ahead and purge all the cache, now the builder is working fine at my end. Please have a look at the screen recording in the secure note. I would suggest you clear your browser cache and then check it again.
Thanks
Thank you for your reply. I disabled all cache and purged the SG cache. It looks like the changes are saved in the Cornerstone editor but they don’t show up in the browser. after that it gives me the same error of not being able to save.
Hi @fciuciu,
I have checked your website and found the SG Optimizer plugin is still active, I went ahead and deactivated the plugin and now the pages are saving properly and showing the changes in frontend too.
Thanks
I just tried it and it’s not working. I went to https://onethingalone.com/prayersofrest/, click Edit Page in Cornerstone, changed the background image of the first section and clicked Save. I got the same error of not being to save my changes.
Hi @fciuciu,
This is very weird that the Yoast SEO plugin is the reason behind it, whereas the new pages are saving properly. I went ahead and deactivated the plugin, change the Background image and it works.
Thanks
