Udpate Pro theme

Hello,

I have a website running the Pro theme, version 6.6.10.
I would like to run the update; however, in the WordPress Updates area (under the Themes section), it says “Your themes are all up to date.”

How can I update the theme directly through WordPress? Ideally, I would like to avoid using FTP.

Hey @thomasdevlaeminck,

To update the Pro theme directly through WordPress without using FTP, you can use one of the following two methods:

Method 1: Upload the Latest Theme ZIP (Recommended)

Since WordPress 5.5, uploading an existing theme’s ZIP file will update it.

  1. Log in to your Themeco Dashboard and download the latest version of the Pro theme ZIP file.
  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
  3. Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.
  4. Choose the downloaded pro.zip file and click Install Now.
  5. WordPress will detect that the theme is already installed and show a comparison of the “Current” and “Uploaded” versions. Click Replace current with uploaded.

Method 2: Check Theme Validation (For Automatic Updates)

If WordPress is not showing the update, the theme might not be validated (linked to your license key) or the update cache needs to be cleared:

  1. Go to Pro > Cornerstones or Pro > Validation (depending on your version layout) in your WordPress sidebar.
  2. Ensure your license key/purchase code is active and validated.
  3. If it is already validated, go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to force WordPress to clear its update cache and fetch the latest theme versions from Themeco’s servers.
