Ubermenu Integration Issues

Super new to this theme, literally installed it last night. I’ve never used it or UberMenu so I’m a bit lost on a couple things… I understand that UberMenu directly integrates with X, but I’m seeing issues. When I changed the theme over last night to X and installed UberMenu, some funky stuff was happening. The main weird thing I’m trying to solve is that on every page but my Home page, it shows an extra menu bar thing underneath the UberMenu. When I hover over the text I can barely see, it shows to be a little home icon, a link to the main posts page, and then the post I’m currently viewing. It also does this same thing on other pages as well, not just post pages.

Also when viewing on mobile, the navigation bar sits directly on top of the site title.

Hi Adam,

I cannot access your site at the moment. Error 1020 Access denied. In case you have IP restriction, please disable it at the moment while we are checking your site. Supports team are on different places so we can’t give you specific IP address.

For the mean time, please check this documentation.

I am currently using CloudFlare and am blocking all countries but the USA, mainly because this is a property owners association site and only a small group of people will be accessing it. I will temporarily disable that firewall rule to let support in to troubleshoot though.

Edit: Just disabled that country block rule. You should be able to access it now. I have a single page set for the Under Construction so people are able to pay their property dues online. I still have the bypass option set though.

Hello Adam,

Thanks for updating in! I have checked your site and I am seeing your UberMenu. The submenu were turned into a fullwidth and inline submenu. Please go to Appearance > UberMenu > Main UberMenu Configuration > Submenus. And to get familiar with the plugin and how you can properly setup UberMenu, please check out this documentation:

Hope this helps.

I went to the location you mentioned and I changed a few settings but none have resolved my issue with double menus. This is a fresh install on an existing site, I haven’t made any major modifications of the menu or anything. I’ll check the link you provided, but the double menu still exists.

Hello Adam,

Please edit your menu in Appearance > Menus and make sure that you haven’t set the sub menus as fullwidth as well. You must set it to Auto or Natural. You might want to check out this documentation about it:

If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Best Regards.

I modified my secure note in my original post with an admin account I just created for you.

FYI, I created a new menu and then deleted it to test (still didn’t work with a fresh menu). Now that no menu is selected, you can see the menu that was underneath the UberMenu.

Hello Adam,

We cannot log in to your site because CloudFlare is blocking us.
See the image in the secure note.

Please temporarily disable any login measure so that we can login and check your site.

Thanks.

Just disabled another rule. You should be good now.

Hello Adam,

Thanks for that, I am not able to access the site.

I have checked but I can’t seem to find any menu on the site anymore. I am not sure if you are actively making changes on the site:

If you still need help getting this sorted, would you mind placing the menu on its location so that we can check it?

Thank you.

The menu is back in place. I sent administrator credentials I created for you in my last secure message.

Hi Adam,

Thanks, I can view your site right now, I’ll tell you what is the issue. It has something to do with your logo and navigation being set as inline. You see you can not inline your logo and navigation because your navigation needs to be full width to accommodate all the items on your menu.

So what you need to do first, is set your Theme Options > Header > Logo and Navigation Layout to Stack

That should resolve your main issue, from there you can now configure the UberMenu.

This menu you’re referring here is called Breadcrumbs, it was being hidden behind the UberMenu because of the Logo and Navigation Layout issue I mentioned above.

If you don’t want that breadcrumbs, you can disable that under Theme Options > Header > Breadcrumbs

And please note to always Purge All the cache (Cloudflare) after changes so it will take effect immediately

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

My goodness, you seriously freaking rock. I would have never found that without your help, unless I spent days fiddling with the options. Thank you SO MUCH!

You’re most welcome, Adam.
