UberMenu clashing with buddy press in nav bar

Hey. For some reason UberMenu is causing the buddypress icon to vanish and show a list. How to fix?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out.

That part of menu is only applicable for X menu and never part of Ubermenu. Please go to Theme Options > Buddypress > Navbar Menu and disable it.

Then please follow this https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/buddypress-links-in-wordpress-menus/ to manually add Buddypress menu items. It’s because, Ubermenu only displays what you add.

Totally. That makes sense.

I do like the visual display of the UberMenu style and have X-Theme licenses for my sub-site peterfae.intothemythica.com within the multisite.

Do You know of any solution to have a visual display of menuy items with an icon like Ubermenu that doesn’t interfere with the buddypress dropdown that’s part of the X-Theme?

Hi Peter,

I’m not sure about the inference, but there shouldn’t be since the items should be manually added. As for the icons, please check this https://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/content/icons. And with that, you’ll have to manually apply icon too :slight_smile:
