cart item counter shortcode no longer updates shopping cart numbers without page refresh. Just recently started happening within the last week or so? Is there an update X theme needs to get and push to the end user to get this back working? Any fixes?

500 Internal server error appears when trying to add to cart:
Please check in with your hosting provider about the error. Make sure the URL and all the sub URLs are white listed. I am not sure how your server works but usually using wild cards such as https://yoursitehere.com/* or maybe the HTTP version might help.
