Two issues - extensions and covered menu

Hey,

I’ve been using the theme and it is awesome! But I’m having two issues though.

Firstly, I added two bars in the header. Bar one has my menus and is coloured white, bar two has some text and is coloured blue. When looking at the menus they seem to go behind the blue bar 2. Any ideas?

Secondly, I don’t know how to install extensions. I’ve looked at other posts and have seen that if you press the Pro (top menu) tab it should take you to a screen where I can see them but all it does for me is ask me what content I want to edit.

Hello Matthew,

Thanks for writing in!

Please be advised that each bar has its own z-index setting of “9999” by default. If you want the blue bar to be behind the first bar, the z-index of the blue bar should be less than the z-index of the first bar. Most probably, 9998 for the second bar and 9999 for the first bar.

If you want to install extensions bundled in the theme, please go to X > Validation > Extensions. This can be found in your WP admin (https://example.com/wp-admin)

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Hello Rue,

Thank you for the help with the manu issue, solved

I don’t have an X tab on my screen.Just the Pro at the top.

Hello Matthew,

There should be a Pro menu item at the top admin bar and there should also be a Pro menu item in the left side panel of your WP admin. Perhaps a 3rd party is hiding it. Would you mind providing us access to your site so that we can take a closer look? You can create a secure note and add your WP credentials.

Meanwhile, this could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi, I’ve added a secure note above.

I’ve gone through and deactivate/activated all my plugins when I first installed X due to a conflict. I’ve not been able to get the left side Tab to show up though. I welcome any help you can give by logging in

Hey Matthew,

I am sure that a certain plugin is hiding the Pro menu item in the left panel. I am just not sure which one is it. To save you time, please use the link in the secure note instead so that you can install the bundled extensions that you need.

Regards.

Figured it out.

It was A2 Hostings own optimisation plugin, “A2 Optimized WP”. I’m unsure why, but disabling it allows the Pro tab to show on the left.

Glad you’ve figured out
