Two issues: Email forma not working & how to remove extensions?

Hi,

When trying to figure out why newsletter sign up stopped I found that the Email Form extension is not working properly. I tried creating add a new form and discovered that the edit options do not appear. at all. Instead you can only add a title. Other then that, there is a small window for creating a custom slug. none of the other options are available in the form.

When trying to edit existing email forms, the same issue appears.

Trying to subscribe from an existing form results in the button turning gray and the form never completes the process (emails not arriving at Mailchimp). Also, when looking under X > Validate, Email forms appears as not installed. When trying to validate after install, I get an empty error message.

On another topic, I have installed a couple of extensions in the past that I no linger use. How can I remove them?

Thanks in advance,

Edahn

Hey Edahn,

I see X and Cornerstone in your site are up to date but I’m not sure about the Email Forms extension. Please uninstall the Email Forms extension/plugin and go to X > Validation and install the Email Forms extension again. Your settings will not be lost.

Regarding the other extensions that you no longer use, please uninstall them as well. If you don’t know how to uninstall a plugin, please see the instruction here: https://www.dummies.com/web-design-development/wordpress/templates-themes-plugins/how-to-uninstall-wordpress-plugins/

If the issue persists after updating Email Forms, please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Only if you’ve tried both of the suggestions above and they don’t work, give us WordPress Admin access in a Secure Note.

Thanks.

Hi,

Turns out the plugin was installed twice. Removing both and purging the cache allowed a clean install and now the plugin works properly. Thanks!

We’re glad that you’ve found what caused the issue, Edahn.
