I have two parallax backgrounds in which i had to change the background-size to 100% instead of cover because the parallax would zoom in too much into the background.
Now, when the section gets “taller” in mobile or smaller screens, there is white space above and below the background. Could I turn off parallax on smaller screens and make sure that the background image goes back to cover?

By default parallax are turn off on mobile. A fixed for image issue on mobile is available on the recent update
BUGFIX: Fix parallax size for mobile device’s background pattern.
You can see it on our changelog here.
Please try to update the theme and then make sure clear cache after. Check again after that.
