Hi, I’ve added the buddypress.php file in my child theme at child theme > framework > legacy > functions > plugins > buddypress.php but the changes I’m making aren’t registering / overriding anything. I’ve got to be missing something simple. Should the folder structure be different than what I have? Anything else I need to do to make it work?
Hi @Jmot,
Unfortunately, the answering the PHP code customization is beyond the scope of Theme Support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.
Thanks
I’m not 100% convinced that you read my question… I’m not asking for PHP customizations. I’m asking why none of the changes I’m making in my child theme are taking effect in the site. Are you telling me that it’s impossible to override any PHP via a child theme?
For example, I can change that exact file mentioned above in the PRO theme and it will effect the output and function in the site. However, when I copy that file to the child theme and make the exact same change it doesn’t affect anything.
Please don’t give another blanket answer.
Hi @Jmot,
Yes, we understand that you are not asking for any customization, but investigating your custom code is beyond the scope of Theme Support. And that is why I referred One service to you.
Thanks
