Tried to edit post with Cornerstone, now my content is gone. Please help!

I’m trying to find the content I spent days writing.

After clicking to edit a post with Cornerstone after completing it in the WP panel, my attempts at adjusting the design - and apparently saving the design - nuked my content.

How can I get it back?

To be clear, when I opened the post to edit in Cornerstone, it added my title to the new post design, but no content. Not sure how to even make that happen after adding a text box that inserts helper text only.
I’m not a website developer, though I have used X several years ago to manage another site.

Was I supposed to copy and paste the content into the new design? Feeling super stressed at the moment, Any thoughts on how to retrieve that text would be greatly appreciated.

Resolved - thankfully I found a third browser window open with the content, so I could copy/paste it to multiple places.

Question still remains - did Cornerstone delete the content because I had no post template saved, or do I always need to start posts in Cornerstone first?

Hello @msobol,

Thanks for writing to us.

Please note that if you are using the Cornerstone page builder to insert page/post content then you need to use the Cornerstone only in case you edit with Gutenberg or any other page builder then page/post content would be lost. I would suggest you please use one builder to insert or edit the page/post content.

Hope it helps
Thanks
