Hi there,

I am looking to make the menu bar on the mobile version of this transparent?

Hello Michaela,

Thanks for writing in! What you are trying to do requires custom CSS coding which is beyond the scope of our support. If you want to have full control over the header, it is best that you upgrade to the Pro theme. With the Pro header builder, should be able to create your own custom transparent header. Please check out this documentation overview:

Hi There, I have seen several people do this previously using code with the x theme.

I have tried pro before and I do not need/want that much control over the elements.

It is working currently as transparent on desktop but is it possible to change the logo and the nav bar to be a different colour on smaller devices?

Hi Michaella,

Yes this would be possible in X were you to use custom code, but like my colleague said, this is beyond the scope of theme support, since it’s not to do with the theme itself, but rather your customisation of it.

It’s worth reiterating that this is entirely possible using native controls in Pro. I totally appreciate that it comes with a lot of granular control that you may not need or desire, but then, your request demonstrates exactly why such granular control can be useful. Of course, whether or not you switch to Pro is completely your choice.

Should you wish to continue with the customisation of X to achieve this, I recommend you contact a developer to assist you further.
