I can not find a way to translate the footer with WPML …?
I go to the footer section and edit it, go to the element and give the flag of the language to be translated, but it stays in the default language …
Any ideas?

Can you give us more information on what happened? When you click the other language flag, did you choose copy existing content? If yes, after that, did you translate current content?
If you choose copy content, you need to edit the copied content and translate those elements to the language you have setup. In case the issue persist and I missed something here, please share credentials and site URL inside a secure note so we can check the issue.
