Transferring Licenses and more

Hi there - We use X. Our website was built in 2018 by a 3rd party developer. When the site was built, the developer purchased and installed the license for X on our website. The site is currently using that license.

Starting in September, the developer is no longer going to be doing business with us. (All the developer does now is monthly updates and we can do that ourselves.)

Is there a way to transfer the license to us? From what I read on the forum, the developer would unlock the license in their account and then email us the license code. We then go through the process of adding the license to our account. Not sure we need to revalidate again.

Note, we also have our own license which we purchased for our development site. The reason for this is we have the live site, the staging site (for testing) and the development site. So the other question is whether we can have more than one license in our account. From what I see in our account the answer is yes.

You need don’t to revalidate the website. As long as the backend is validated, you have nothing to worry about it. Yes, you can have more than one license on your account.
