Transferring license: already registered error

Hello there,

I have tried adding the license code to another account and getting the error that it is already registered.

I unlocked and tried removing the locations from the existing account but it doesn’t appear to have worked.

What am I doing wrong?

It seems that you are trying to transfer the license to another site, and you followed the correct steps. Can you please provide the credentials of the site where you are trying to transfer the license, and also the site registered in your Themeco Account associated with the license?

Thanks for getting back - I am only trying to move the license to another account. It will be used on the same website / domain. See secure note :-}

I don’t think the location deleted.

Hey Spencer,

It’s not just the same domain. The license code must be assigned to the site URL before you can use the license to validate the theme installed in that URL. I have checked the site and it seems you have resolved it already.

No, this hasn’t been resolved. I am trying to move the license to another account and not change the URL at all. This license will not be used on a new URL / domain. It seems to be trying to add the same URL to the new account that is causing the problem.

Hi Spencer,

I have unlocked the license from the account where the license is already associated and added it to the account where you want to add it. And it worked as expected; now the site is showing under the new account with the same domain name.
